The responsibilities of the System Administrator
- Providing technical maintenance and support for computer networks of Small Business firms: server-based networks (primarily Microsoft Server 2008, Exchange 2010), tech-support via Remote Access, network infrastructure (WiFi Access Points, routers, switches, etc)
- Assisting in system design and system integration projects
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor degree (Computer Networking, Computer science)
- Must pass problem-solving tests, consisting of:
- Troubleshooting IT task (such as fixing a problem with an Exchange server)
- Deployment task (such as configuring a site-to-site VPN network)
- Troubleshooting IT task (such as fixing a problem with an Exchange server)
- Multiple choice test
- Must display professional conduct under pressure and good customer interaction
- Ability to handle multiple assignments under time constraints
- DISCIPLINED and self-motivated
- Resident of Raleigh-Durham area; must have a valid driver's license and a car.
Terms:
Application Deadline: November 15th, 2014Upon successful completion of the practical training, part-time job will begin with hourly compensation starting in $21-26/h range, 80++ hours a month. Ultimate scenario results in full-time employment.
