Allora Consulting is looking for a bright, enthusiastic system’s engineer. Ideally this opportunity would lay a bridge to a full-time position. A desired candidate must be proficient at problem-solving, self-motivated, very disciplined, good with customer service, and strong communication skills.

The responsibilities of the System Administrator

  • Providing technical maintenance and support for computer networks of Small Business firms: server-based networks (primarily Microsoft Server 2008, Exchange 2010), tech-support via Remote Access, network infrastructure (WiFi Access Points, routers, switches, etc)

  • Assisting in system design and system integration projects

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor degree (Computer Networking, Computer science)

  • Must pass problem-solving tests, consisting of:

    • Troubleshooting IT task (such as fixing a problem with an Exchange server)

    • Deployment task (such as configuring a site-to-site VPN network)

  • Multiple choice test

  • Must display professional conduct under pressure and good customer interaction

  • Ability to handle multiple assignments under time constraints

  • DISCIPLINED and self-motivated

  • Resident of Raleigh-Durham area; must have a valid driver's license and a car.

Upon successful completion of the practical training, part-time job will begin with hourly compensation starting in $21-26/h range, 80++ hours a month. Ultimate scenario results in  full-time employment.
